The Coffee Palace
The Coffee Palace is a historic property built in 1855 and elegantly restored to provide beautiful accommodation for up to 14 guests.
Spread out over 3 floors you and your companions enjoy over 400m2 of living space, including 7 bedrooms, 5 living rooms, 2 kitchens, 3.5 bathrooms and plenty of outdoor verandas and decks. Completely self-contained and yours exclusively during your stay, we provide many extra comforts and little touches to make you feel at home.
Cook up a storm in the large kitchen with “falcon” range with gas cooktop, double fridge/freezer and baking and cooking requirements for your group. There is also a BBQ on the rear verandah and a large outdoor table for enjoyment in the warmer months.
For evenings entertainment we have plenty of comfortable seating, 2 televisions, cable channels, lots of dvds, games and of course, our huge games room with billiard table.
For some more restful activities you may like to make a selection from our book collection and sit in a quiet spot in the lovely gardens or sit on the front balcony with a glass of wine and look over the view of Lyndoch and the hills beyond.
There are 7 bedrooms in all, 2 are on the ground floor, one of which has a luxurious ensuite with claw foot bathtub and dressing room. Both of these bedrooms can be configured as twins or king size beds. Upstairs there are four more bedrooms which are one king, one double and two twin rooms.
These bedrooms share 2 bathrooms and a separate toilet. They also have access to a smaller kitchen upstairs and a small lounge area with french doors leading to an upstairs deck with views out over the township. The last bedroom is in the cellar and is quirky and spacious with its own window garden, letting in plenty of light. The bed is a very comfortable double futon. This bedroom is accessed via a spiral staircase and bathroom facilities are up the two sets of stairs, so for the more nimble guests.
The house is air-conditioned upstairs and downstairs, has free wifi and guests are supplied with quality linen, towels and bathroom products. Each of the two kitchens have tea and coffee making facilities. On arrival, guests can expect a welcome platter of delicious goodies to assuage their hunger.
